Job Description:
Purpose:
The Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) will play a pivotal role in analyzing and documenting business requirements while ensuring the successful implementation of systems, processes, and software solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to elicit, define, and refine user stories and requirements. They will also ensure effective testing, user acceptance, and delivery of solutions aligned with business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis: Gather, document, analyze, and validate business and technical requirements for systems, UI, web services, and backend impacts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and teams to create and refine user stories for Agile development. Facilitate grooming and refinement processes.
- Documentation & Testing: Create detailed requirement documents, user stories, and test plans. Oversee the user acceptance testing process and resolve issues identified.
- Solution Delivery: Monitor project progress, address system issues, and coordinate resolution plans. Lead or participate in system design reviews to ensure user requirements are met.
- Communication & Reporting: Develop clear documentation, communicate progress to stakeholders, and provide guidance to end users.
- Workflow Tools: Utilize tools like Jira, Visio, and other workflow management systems effectively.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related analytical role.
- Proven ability to work in Agile environments, with hands-on experience creating and refining user stories for backend systems.
- Strong understanding of system impacts on UI, web services, and backend processes.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Visio, and other workflow tools.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and/or SaaS platforms, particularly in reporting applications (CSM module experience preferred).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
- Strong team player and collaborator.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
- Agile certifications or training.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and tools.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- In lieu of a degree: Additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
